What exactly, is a 'Bounce Coach'?

I get asked that question often enough that it's probably time to address it on the blog.
A 'Bounce Coach' (and I'm the only one I know of), is that coach you call when crap just hit the fan.
When the rug has been pulled out from under your feet.
When you've lost your balance.
When you are mid free-fall, and you know the bottom is coming toward you pretty quickly, and you're bracing yourself for the 'thud' sound you'll make when you actually do it bottom.
Or even when you're at the bottom, flat on your backside, looking up at what was, and wondering how the hell you got there.
I'm the first responder of coaching.
I'm the guy you call when you don't have anyone else to call. Well, at least not anyone else that will shoot straight, not let you wallow in your BS for more than a couple of minutes.
I'm the guy you call when you need a plan, a path back.
And most importantly, when you need a hand to grab you, lift you up, lead the way... and then get out of your way when you're all healed and back on track.
I don't do long term coaching. I don't do long tail fixes.
Yes.. I have people that I've coached on an off for years, decades even. When they need it.
But if you have to come see me week after week, month after month, year after year, just to live your life and not break anything or anyone. I'm not doing my job. Or, you're not doing yours. Either way, it's futile.
